As of August 2025, Horizon Robotics has surpassed 10 million mass-produced shipments of its Journey series automotive AI chips, becoming the first domestic intelligent driving tech firm to hit this milestone. At the August 29 Chengdu International Auto Show, it held a "10 Million Mass Production Celebration Ceremony" and set a new goal: to drive 10 million mass-produced HSD (Urban Area ADAS) units in the next 3-5 years.

Horizon’s founder Dr. Yu Kai emphasized the milestone depended on automakers and ecosystem partners, vowing to enhance product capabilities for industry innovation. Currently, it partners with over 40 global automakers (including China’s top 10), empowers 400+ vehicle models, serves 6 million+ car owners, and holds a market share where "1 in 3 intelligent vehicles uses Horizon chips".

The core of the Journey chip’s advancement is its self-developed ADAS-specific BPU® architecture. After 10 years and 3 generations of iteration, its computing performance has jumped over 1,000x. The 2025 mass-produced Journey 6 series (based on BPU Nash architecture) covers 10-560 TOPS, making it China’s only solution for L2 to full-scenario urban ADAS. Its segmented products stand out:

  • Entry-level Journey 6B: Recently launched; Bosch’s camera platform based on it will enter mass production in mid-2026 and has secured orders from multiple automakers.
  • Mid-range Journey 6E/M: Got orders from 20+ automakers (to empower 100+ models); co-developed models like Aion Bawanglong launched/pre-sold at the show, with 15+ new models to be empowered this year.
  • Flagship Journey 6P: Boasts 560 TOPS computing power; its HSD ("China’s FSD")-equipped EXEED ET5 debuted at the show (mass production in November 2025), and HSD has secured 10+ model orders.

Horizon also hosted an ADAS tech pop-up at the show (with 5 thematic areas for Journey chips and EXEED ET5) and its Digua Robotics subsidiary displayed smart products like robot dogs, showcasing its multi-scenario layout.

The 10-million Journey chip shipment signals China’s ADAS entering a scaled, commercialized new phase. Horizon will next pursue 10-million HSD mass production to boost ADAS accessibility, upholding its "Technology Makes Humans Greater" mission.
