In 2016, Meigao Senmei acquired PMC Sierra through its subsidiary Lois Acquisition. PMC Sierra provides broadband communication and storage semiconductors for metropolitan area networks, access networks, home fiber optics, wireless infrastructure, enterprise and channel storage, laser printers, and customer premises equipment. PMC sells over 250 different semiconductor devices to equipment manufacturers, who in turn provide their equipment to communication network service providers and enterprises.
