Introduction: PLX Company has been developing high-performance system input-output I/O interface interconnect chips since 1994. From the initial PCI bridge, there was a natural transition to PCIe (PCI Express), USB, SATA, and Ethernet bridging and switching. Chips are mainly used in the fields of communication, storage, servers, computers, embedded control, and consumer electronics. PLX acquired Oxford Semiconductor in 2009 to enter the consumer storage market. PLX was acquired by AVAGO in 2014.
