Introduction: Sensata Technologies, headquartered in the United States, has a 95 year history of development and is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of sensors, electrical protectors, and controllers. Sensata, formerly known as the sensor and controller business under Texas Instruments, was acquired by Bain&Company in 2006. On March 11, 2010, the company successfully went public on the New York Stock Exchange in the United States, becoming an independent listed company. Subsequently, Sensata acquired First Technology, Airpax and its four subsidiaries, Honeywell's Automotive on Board global automotive sensor business, and Sensor Nite high-temperature sensors.
